ROME, Ga.-- Despite shooting a season best 39.2 percent from the floor, the Covenant women's basketball team fell to Berry 88-55 on Tuesday night inside the Cage Center.

The loss is Covenant's fifth straight to start the season. Berry now stands at 3-1.

The Vikings raced out to a 10-0 lead to start the game. While the Scots were able to cut the lead to five, at 14-9, Berry again pulled away and led 42-25 at halftime. Berry's biggest lead was 38, when they led 88-50 before Covenant scored the final five points to get to the final margin.

Liz Dougherty led the Scots with 14 points and six rebounds, while Morgan Woodward had 10 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Rachel Price, Clara Dirkse, and Abbey Bailey each chipped in seven points.

For Berry, they were led by the 16 points of Emma Cook. All five of their starters scored at least nine points while Chanlir Segarra flirted with a triple-double with 10 points, eight assists, and six rebounds.

After Thanksgiving break, Covenant will try to get into the win column when they travel to face former conference foe Agnes Scott on Saturday, December 6 at 2 p.m.
