LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- The Covenant men's tennis team's home match with Oglethorpe started, but could not finish as wet court conditions forced the contest to be called off shortly after singles play started.
Oglethorpe led 3-1 in the match. Covenant's record remains at 2-3.
Covenant's point in the match came at No. 2 doubles as Ben Luke and Paxton Haggerty outlasted Oglethorpe's Daniel Cohen and Vince Claussen 8-7(8).
The Scots were bested at the No. 1 doubles flight and No. 3, despite close battles. Austin Dreslinski and Solomon Crouch fell 8-6 at No. 1 to Calvin Schneider and Walker Benson at the top spot, while Gill Dunn and Ethan Gibson were defeated, 8-5, by Ameya Dani and Zoe Raymond at No. 3.
The only singles match that completed was at No. 2 as Dani bested Dreslinski, 6-2, 6-3.
Other singles matches got underway, but no sets were completed before the match was halted. All doubles and singles matches were completed do not count towards season stats.
