LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- In a season unlike any other, the Covenant men's soccer team will have a chance to hoist a trophy as the Scots take on Brevard in the USA South West Division Tournament championship on Saturday.
Kick-off is set for 2 p.m. at Scotland Yard.
Covenant (6-2) ran away from Huntingdon last Saturday in a 4-0 victory in a first round contest as Jake Major had a goal and two assists, while Austin Berry, Mercer Stout, and Keegan Weekley also scored. The No. 1-seeded Scots had a 26-5 shot advantage in the match and scored three first-half goals in the victory.

FAN POLICY
- Only Covenant students/faculty/staff along with family members listed on the Covenant men's soccer team's pass list will be allowed to attend the match, per USA South policy. Covenant students/faculty/staff must show a valid Covenant ID at the front gate.
- No visiting fans or family members are allowed.
- Masks MUST be worn at all times when inside Scotland Yard.

- Covenant is seeking its first tournament title in the USA South since 2014. Brevard, playing in its first tournament in the USA South, is seeking its first title.
- Covenant and Brevard met in the regular season on Feb. 20 at the UTC Sports Complex and the Scots took a 3-1 win. Brevard scored first, but two second-half goals lifted the Scots to the victory.
- Covenant is 12-1-0 all-time against Brevard. It will be the third meeting between the teams in a conference tournament, and the first since Covenant won 7-0 in the AAC Tournament on Oct. 30, 2004. Brevard's only win against the Scots came in 1999.
- The No. 2 West seed Brevard (6-2) rallied back for a 2-1 win over Piedmont in the USA South West Tournament first round last Saturday. After falling behind 1-0 in the 12th minute, the Tornados got goals from Facundo Sunhary and the game-winner from Igor da Silva for the win.
- Covenant had six players earn All-USA South West honors. Mercer Stout, Knox Gibson, Griffin Felton, Noah Lee, and Henry Hooks all collected first team honors, while Jake Major was a second team selection.
- Saturday's match features two of the top scoring teams in the USA South. Brevard leads the league in goals per match at 3.38, while Covenant is third at 2.75. The Scots have spread out the goal-scoring all year as Stout leads the team with four with Berry, Gibson, and Major at three each. Vinicius Giannaccini leads Brevard with six goals.
