Box Score 2 BREVARD, N.C. - Covenant Men's and Women's Tennis had their first games of the fall Thursday afternoon at Brevard. The Scots were not rusty at all as both teams had convincing wins over the Tornados.
Men's Final: Covenant 9, Brevard 0

DOUBLES:
- In the No. 1 doubles match Gill Dunn and Solomon Crouch teamed up to defeat Hayden LeBlanc and Bryce Bernitt 8-3.
- Camden Lashley and Jacob Eldridge took down Devin Horton and Peter Bresko 8-2 in the No. 2 doubles position.
- Jackson Nance and Mason Howard gave the Scots the doubles sweep with an 8-1 victory over Brian Seon and Noah Lewis
SINGLES:
- Defending CCS Rookie of the Year, Ben Onufrock began his sophomore year with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over LeBlanc in the No. 1 position of singles.
- Austin Dreslinksi held down the No. 2 spot with a 6-2, 6-1 result against Bernitt.
- In the No. 3 slot was Caleb Domkowski who did not drop a single game in his first collegiate match, a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Horton.
- Another freshman, Brock Boehling, shined in the No. 4 position with a 6-1, 6-0 win against Lewis.
- Gavin Patton delivered with a 6-2, 6-0 win in the No. 5 spot against Bresko.
- Rounding out the lineup was Graham Hayes who cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win against Seon.
Women's Final: Covenant 8, Brevard 1

DOUBLES:
- Lauren Carr and Addi Gunyon battled to a close 8-6 win over Hannah Hersh and Sophie Trantham in the top position on the women's side.
- Angel Traylor and Macy Matson took care of business with an 8-3 win over Brooke Garland and Savannah Anderson in the No. 2 slot.
- In the final doubles match, Dani Rappuhn and Alexis Baker won every game to earn an 8-0 win against Ava Thrift and McKenna Deets.
SINGLES
- Lauren Carr was defeated by Hersh 5-7, 0-6 in the No. 1 singles match.
- Gunyon had success in the No. 2 spot with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Trantham.
- Matson battled to a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Garland in the No. 3 slot.
- Traylor won her match in the No. 4 position 6-4, 7-6, surviving a tiebreak over Anderson to earn the Scots a point.
- In the No. 5 position match, Baker earned a 6-0, 6-1 win against Thrift.
- Dani Rappuhn won the final singles match for Covenant 6-1, 6-0 over Deets.
UP NEXT: Over the next two weekends, both teams will travel to Sewanee for ITA Regionals.
