ATLANTA, Ga. - The Collegiate Conference of the South released its weekly award winners for Cross Country on Monday afternoon, with
Lucie Demers,
Ethan Saiki, and
Trey Mortensen listed among the honorees.Â
Demers won her fifth CCS weekly award of the year, but for the first time, it comes as Runner of the Week. The freshman finished 11th at the Chattanooga Intercollegiate with a 6k time of 23:58.14. She led the Scots to a second-place finish as a team.Â
On the men's side, Saiki placed second in the 8k at the Chattanooga Intercollegiate with a time of 26:14.83 to lead Covenant to a second-place result. He has finished inside the top four in four races this year, and it is also the fourth time he has won this award this fall.Â
Mortensen was Covenant's fourth runner to cross the finish line, completing the race in 27:35 to place 14th. It is also his fourth time winning this award in his rookie campaign.Â
The Scots return to action on Halloween for the CCS Championship in Huntsville.Â
