Cali Sandhoff and
Henley Gentry earned the CCS Player of the Week and CCS Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, announced the conference on Monday.
The Player of the Week honor is the fourth in Sandhoff's career, but first in 2026, while Gentry lands her first CCS Defensive Player of the Week distinction and second weekly award overall in her career.
Sandhoff, a senior from Lookout Mountain, Ga., had a spectacular all-around week for the Scots, racking up 30 kills, 69 assists, 30 digs, five aces, and three blocks. In the win over Huntingdon, one of four wins the Scots had last week, she recorded her 1,000th career assist.
For the season, Sandhoff leads Covenant with 179 assists, while adding 65 kills, 71 digs, and 14 blocks.
Gentry, a sophomore from Arlington, Texas, had a career-best 31 digs in a five-set win over Rhodes to cap off the week, and totaled 64 digs over their four wins.Â
This season, Gentry has 128 digs, the most on the team, and also paces the Scots with 3.56 digs per set.
Sandhoff, Gentry and the Scots will be back in action on Wednesday for a CCS matchup against Asbury.
