Covenant College

Nick joins the Scots this season as a freshman pitcher. Prior toCovenant, Nick played baseball for Breman High School where he wasnamed to the All-Area second team and the recipient of the BestPitcher Award in his senior season.

His parents are Jeff and Rebecca Hyatt. He has a youngerbrother, Christian. When he is not playing baseball, Nick enjoysbowling, collecting sports cards and memorabilia, working on motorvehicles, and spending time with his family. One of his favoriteBible passages is 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 which includes, "Do you notknow that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets theprize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercisesself-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishablewreath, but we an imperishable..."

Nick is enrolled in the Dual-Engineering Program at Covenant andplans to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering. Nick aspires toplay professional baseball, receive a Master's in Arabic, andobtain a job as a mechanical engineer in Dubai.
