Covenant College

Chase joins the Scots this season as a freshman infielder andcatcher. Prior to Covenant, he played baseball for Ellison HighSchool and Indian Rocks Christian School. In his junior year atEllison High School, Chase was a District 12-5A Honorable Mentionand a recipient of the Monty Labay Award. In his senior season atIndian Rocks Christian School, Chase was the recipient of the GoldGlove Award, a member of the All-Bay Conference team, and selectedto play in the Pinellas County All-Star game. He also played travelball for the Killeen Rebels (Jr., Sr.).

His parents are Lee and Phyllis Ransdell. He has a youngerbrother, Cole. When he is not playing baseball, Chase enjoyshanging out with friends, playing video games, going snipe huntingwith friends, and listening to music. One of his favorite Bibleverses is Hebrews 4:12 which says, "For the word of God is aliveand active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates evento dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges thethoughts and attitudes of the heart."

Chase is majoring in Political Studies. After graduating fromCovenant, he would like to join the Army or possibly pursue acareer in politics.
