Covenant College

Karen returns to Covenant this year as one of three sophomoresrepresenting the Lady Scots this season. Prior to Covenant, Karenplayed softball for King Philip High School where she helped herteam win states, was named the Most Valuable Player, and honored byher team for having the second most home runs in her senior season.She also played travel ball for Norfolk Storm.

Her parents are David and Diane McElwee. She has an olderbrother, Glen; an older sister, Alyssa; and a younger brother,Craig. When she is not playing softball, Karen enjoys painting,laughing, and star gazing. One of her favorite Bible verses is 2Corinthians 12:9 which says, "But he said to me, 'My grace issufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, sothat Christ's power may rest on me."

Karen is majoring in Biology and Pre-Nursing. She is alsominoring in Spanish. After graduating from Covenant, Karen hopes tobecome a nurse for old people and babies.
