Biography
Ruth returns for her senior season as one of the three captains leading the Lady Scots this season. Prior to a successful career at Covenant, Ruth made All-State (Jr., Sr.), was named the Conference MVP (Sr.), and honored with the Servant-Leadership Award (Fr.) during high school.
Her parents are Ned (ran track for Centre College, KY) and Julia Gibson. She has an older brother, Thomas (married to Hannah); a younger sister, Glenn; a younger brother, Philip; and a younger sister, Bonnie. When she is not on the court playing basketball Ruth enjoys photography, writing, and camping. One of her favorite Bible verses is Psalm 37:6 which says, "Commit your way to the Lord, trust in him and he will act."
Ruth is an English major with a minor in Community Development. After graduating from Covenant, she hopes to lead a young women's/high school girls ministry, get into journalism, and become a coach.
