CLEVELAND, Ga. - The Covenant Men's Tennis team played its first match of the 2025-26 season on Tuesday at Truett McConnell. The Scots had no problems with the Bears, winning 7-0 on the road.Ā
DOUBLES:
- In the No. 1 position, Ben Onufrock and Caleb Domkowski picked up a 6-2 win over Santiago Vicente Cruz and David Mietos Niella.Ā
- Brock Boehling and Graham Hayes manned the No. 2 slot as they defeated Ross Stewart and Juan Pablo Diaz Franco 6-1.Ā
- In the final doubles match, Gavin Patton and Cameron Erb took care of their business, taking down Caden Cook and Luis Antonio Hernandez Jaramillo 6-1.Ā
SINGLES:Ā
- Onufrock had a tight battle against Vicente Cruz in the No. 1 position; however, the senior won 6-4, 6-4 to earn the victory in straight sets.Ā
- Domkowski blanked Niella in the No. 2 slot 6-0, 6-0 for a straightforward win.Ā
- In the No. 3 ranked match, BoehlingĀ took on Diaz Franco, and as he did in doubles, he came out on top, winning 6-0, 6-2.Ā
- Hayes came through for the Scots in the No. 4 slot, defeating StewartĀ 6-4, 6-3.Ā
- Gavin Patton was Covenant's player in the No. 5 position as he held firm against Cook, defeating him 6-1, 7-6.Ā
- Jacob Eldridge started his senior year with a win in the No. 6 ranked match, a 6-4, 6-0 result against Max McKay.Ā
